Project Comprised of the project management, engineering, inshore loading (Sassnitz), offshore transport and installation of 60 Transition Pieces onto pre-installed Mono Piles. Jumbo’s detailed scope also included the design and supply of all installation aids, lifting gear, grillages and sea fastenings.

Jumbo completes project for the Arkona offshore wind farm

The entire project entailed the construction of a 385MW offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea. Jumbo was contracted by Van Oord for the installation of the 60 transition pieces. The vessel selected to undertake the task was the MV Fairplayer, a DP2 Heavy Lift Crane Vessel well-suited for the offshore demands of the Energy Industry worldwide.
