We ended 2023 with great success by announcing that at the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea, Jumbo Offshore has successfully completed the installation of transition pieces.

Earlier this year, Van Oord partnered with Jumbo Offshore for the installation of the transition pieces for Iberdrola’s Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm. Last month, heavylift vessel Fairplayer completed the installation scope with the grouting operation for the 50th and final transition piece.

From vessel reservation agreement to the first transition piece installation in just 3 months – All thanks to the trust and transparent cooperation between the Jumbo Offshore Installation Contractors and Van Oord project teams.

Van Oord is familiar with the Jumbo Offshore team from when we worked on the Arkona Offshore Wind Farm together.

Baltic Eagle is an offshore wind farm project under construction in the Baltic Sea. Van Oord contracted Jumbo Offshore to transport 33 TPs from the port of Mukran in Germany to the site and support with the installation, including grouting, bolting and completion works.
